Improving gender diversity isn’t just about improving a woman’s lot. It also makes sound business sense. Studies show that companies earn 2.4% more with every 10% increase in gender diversity. According to a McKinsey Global Institute study, if India can bridge the gender gap in the workforce by 2025, it stands to add an additional $2.9 trillion to its GDP.
